Your access to Google Vids features may vary. Find out which Google Account types have access to Google Vids and different Vids features below.
For work or school accounts, your administrator controls access to Google Vids. If you’re an administrator, learn how to manage access to Google Vids.
Create, view & edit access to Vids
Create new videos
Important: Make sure you sign in with the correct Google Account that can access the feature.
To check if you have access to create a new video:
- On your computer, go to Google Vids.
- At the top of the page, check for “Start a new video.”
If you don’t have access to create new videos with Google Vids, you’ll be redirected to Vids on Google Workspace.
On your computer, you can create, copy, edit, and watch videos in Google Vids through a:
- Work account*:
- Essentials
- Business Starter. Coming soon, for a limited time, Business Starter accounts will have access to Gemini in Vids.
- Business Standard
- Business Plus
- Enterprise Essentials
- Enterprise Essentials Plus
- Enterprise Starter. Coming soon, for a limited time, Enterprise Starter accounts will have access to Gemini in Vids.
- Enterprise Standard
- Enterprise Plus
- Gemini Enterprise
- Gemini Business
- Google Workspace for Nonprofits. Coming soon, for a limited time, Google Workspace for Nonprofits accounts will have access to Gemini in Vids.
- School account*:

* For work or school accounts, your admin controls access to Google Vids.
** If you have a Google Workspace for Education Plus account or if Generative AI features have been turned off by your admin, you will not have access to the following features:

View & edit videos
You can view vids that have been shared with you on your computer, or your Android or iOS device.
Users with a Google Account can edit or comment on a vid on a computer if the owner has granted you comment or edit access.
For work or school accounts, the ability to view, comment, or edit in Google Vids must be allowed by your admin. For users with a work or school account, if you can’t access a video that has been shared with you, check with your admin.
