Understand the billable cost on your invoice
Your total invoiced amount is calculated as the sum of several components:
- Media Cost: The raw cost incurred for purchasing impressions
- Display & Video 360 Platform Fee: The charge for using the platform to serve your ads, calculated as a percentage of the Media Cost
- Platform add-on fees: Fees including the Advanced Creative Fee, Seller ID Blocklist Fee, and App Mediation Partners Fee
- Third-Party Fees: Costs from third-parties such as IAS, Doubleverify, and Shoplocal
- Any surcharges: Any country specific surcharges such as Regulatory Operating Costs (ROC) or Digital Service Taxes (DST)
- Taxes or Value Added Tax (VAT): Applicable depending on the location of your business
Note: For increased transparency and detail, the single line item labeled “Other Fees” has been split into Platform add-on fees and Third-Party Fees on invoices issued from October 2024 onward.
Where to find Display & Video 360 platform fee information
The rates for using the Display & Video 360 platform are defined in the contract. To view these rates within Display & Video 360:
- Open your advertiser in Display & Video 360.
- Select Partner settings.
- In the dropdown, select Display & Video 360 Fee.
This section shows the current contract rates being applied to the partner.
Note: Display & Video 360 will always reflect actual costs, not revenue. Actual costs are the sum of Media Cost, Platform fees, Platform add-on fees, and Third-Party fees, while revenue is determined by a markup functionality within the partner costs. This functionality allows Agencies and Partners to enter custom CPM or media fees that are associated with a given impression. They only appear in reporting and will not show up on your invoice.
