Before you begin
- You should identify an integration point of contact (POC) within your company who has a working knowledge with various integrations.
- This POC should have admin access to the entire Campaign Manager 360 network or specific advertisers and the appropriate level of access to Prisma.
- The integration POC can be identified on the ad operations, campaign management, or similar team, and is usually responsible for linking Prisma to Campaign Manager 360 for the trafficking integration.
- The integration POC should ensure that the following steps are completed:
- Have a list of advertisers or Prisma instances that you would like to onboard
- Set up billing integration in Display & Video 360
- Complete Mediaocean authorization steps
- Contact Mediaocean if you run into any issues during set up
- You no longer need to create Google Project IDs as part of the setup. Mediaocean or Prisma has implemented a more simplified and secure solution.
- To complete the Mediaocean authorization steps, you might need Prisma or Mediaocean access.
How to set up billing integration
Step 1 of 4: Verify admin access
- Click Partners on the left-hand panel and select the Display & Video 360 partner you want to check.
- Click the User management icon on the top-right hand corner.
- Ensure that the integration POC setting up the integration has full admin access to each Display & Video 360 partner.
Step 2 of 4: Set up Invoice level settings
- In Partner settings, click Basic details.
- Go to "Billing profiles" and select the billing profile that is being used for campaigns trafficked through Prisma.
- In the "Invoice level" field, select Budget invoice grouping ID. Now, the "Invoice detail level" field has Budget Level PO by default.
- Note: In order to use the invoice integration properly, configure the invoice level of the particular advertiser ID to Budget Level PO to receive one invoice per Budget Level PO, which is also known as Prisma insertion order number.
- Click Save.
This setup will allow Display & Video 360 to generate one invoice per Prisma Order Number which simplifies the reconciliation in Prisma.
Step 3 of 4: Enable third-party integrations

- In Advertiser settings, click Basic details.

How it works
Budget component
The budget component allows for budgets to be pushed from Prisma to Display & Video 360 along with Prisma unique identifiers to be printed on invoices.
- Media buyers access Prisma to add or edit a campaign and campaign budget segments.
- Prisma will use integration calls to add or edit budgets in the relevant Google product.
- Every month, the relevant Google product will generate an invoice including all details submitted within the budget integration call such as amount, flight date, unique identifier, or Prisma insertion order number.
Invoice component
The invoice component allows Google invoice data to appear directly in Prisma inclusive of client, product, estimate, insertion order number, and actual invoice amounts for easy reconciliation.
- Invoice data will be programmatically pulled into Prisma.
- Prisma will show "booked budget" against invoice amount and automatically highlight any discrepancies in the interface.
- The finance team can now process payments or disputes immediately since they no longer have to manually reconcile bookings against invoices.

What level of access do I need to set up the integration?
The integration POC should have admin access to the Display & Video 360 network or to specific advertisers. Learn how to Manage users in Display & Video 360.
How is Client, Product, and Estimate (CPE) incorporated?
Mediaocean will work with each agency partner on a client mapping process which will incorporate the relevant CPE codes into the budget setting workflow and subsequently on delivered invoices. Contact your Mediaocean representative for more information.
Does this integration just create a budget order or does it create Display & Video 360 campaigns?
The Display & Video 360 budget API integration only creates individual budget segments or insertion orders with associated budgets. The integration will not create line items or set campaigns live, and will still need to be done within Display & Video 360.
How will the API integration impact reporting? Will it map delivery data back to Prisma placements?
Yes, Prisma will pull back delivery data on a daily basis. Agencies can then utilize the delivery data according to their specific needs.
Can I get a granular breakdown of Display & Video 360 invalid traffic activity credits via the integration?
No. The integration doesn’t currently have this functionality. Reach out to your Mediaocean contact if this functionality is required, and they will relay any feature requests to Google.
Will changes made to budgets in Display & Video 360 automatically reflect on Prisma?
No. The information flows only one way from Prisma to Google products. If you make changes to placements in Prisma, it will reflect in Display & Video 360 when budgets are pushed. However, if you make a change in Display & Video 360, it will not be automatically reflected in Prisma.
All changes to budgets and placements should be made in Prisma so that they are pushed into each Google product. The name should match what is in Prisma for invoicing purposes, as whatever is in Display & Video 360 is what will be printed on the invoice.
What if my customer doesn’t use Prisma?
Our integrations are open-source, making it adaptable for various third-party buying tools other than Mediaocean. The integrations can be configured to work with different systems outside of Mediaocean, however integrating with outside systems may require development work on the customer's end.
Google only provides sample code and guidance, but not direct development support. Learn more about Display & Video 360 API.
Who can use the billing integration, and where is it available?
The Google and Prisma integration is widely available across Canada, United States, United Kingdom, and Ireland. However, this integration could be used by non-Prisma companies globally, and is designed for agencies who pay via monthly invoicing and not via credit or debit card.
