Stay ahead of the August 1st, 2023 changes for Billing Sheet submission
Starting August 1st, 2023, Google will be enforcing a policy requiring select MVP suppliers to:
- Submit IVT billing sheets for all contracts/invoices with Alphabet using the new and enhanced Billing Document Generator add-on for Google Sheets
- This does NOT yet apply to contracts for which you are following an approved custom billing sheet template and process (e.g. PACE/CIV, Moneypenny), as requested by your Google PA and approved by our team on a case by case basis. If in doubt you must assume that an IVT billing sheet is required, otherwise your invoice may be unnecessarily delayed or rejected.
- Complete billing sheets using the new and enhanced Billing Document Generator add-on (download Link: coming soon)
- All billing sheets must be submitted alongside their invoice (1 billing sheet-to-1 invoice) in a timely manner, otherwise the invoices may be rejected for lack of accurate supporting documentation. Billing sheets and invoices for which the supplier is not forthcoming in resolving the ingestion or validation errors will be rejected.
The new and enhanced Billing Sheet Generator add-on will be made available soon and will support additional contracts, such as Fixed Fee, Milestone, Deliverable, and Price-Per-Unit pricing types in addition to Time & Materials.
This change will reduce errors and iterations needed by suppliers when submitting Billing Sheets while helping to standardize invoice processing, expedite payments, and decrease turnaround time.
