You can keep your contact info updated on your Android phone and share your details directly from your phone. Before you share your contact info, review it to make sure it is correct. If you need to edit it, learn how to change your Google Account picture and name.
To check your info:
- On your Android device, open the Contacts app

- Tap Your info.
- If you’re not logged into the Contacts app, tap Organize

- Review your details:
- Your Google Account name, picture, and email for the account selected in the Contacts app.
- Phone number(s) from your device’s SIM card(s).
- To add custom contact info, like an additional phone number or address, tap Edit, enter more information, and tap Save.
- Custom contact info will only appear in the Contacts app and Phone app on your Android device. It will not be added to your Google Account info.
- To select a default phone number or email to use when you share your contact info, long-press on the phone number or email, and tap Set default.
Tip: If you change your Google Account name or picture, it sometimes takes a few days to update across all Google products.
Share your own contact info
Important: When you share your own info from the Contacts app, the recipient will receive a VCF file.
To share your own contact info right from your Android phone:
- Open the Contacts app
.
- Tap Your info
Share.
Tips:
- Account changes: If you share your Google Account name or picture and change it later, people you shared with may still see the old info in their contact record for you.
- Google services info: If you choose not to share your Google Account name or picture, this info might still show up to people you contact or share with on Google services.
