To control your mouse cursor with your primary or numeric keyboard, you can use Mouse keys. This is useful for individuals with limited strength or mobility, like those with repetitive strain injuries or arthritis.
Turn on Mouse keys
- On your Chromebook, at the bottom right, select the time.
- Select Settings
.
- On the left, select Accessibility
Cursor and touchpad.
- Turn on Mouse keys.
Tip: To pause or resume Mouse keys, press Launcher + Alt + 4.
Select a mouse button
Important: Before you use Mouse keys, select first which mouse button you want to be the active button: the left button, the right button, or both.
- Left mouse button: Press /.
- Right mouse button: Press -.
- Both buttons: Press *.

Adjust Mouse keys settings
You can adjust the following settings:
- Acceleration: Move the slider from "Slow" to "Fast" or vice versa.
- Speed: Move the slider from "Low" to "High" or vice versa.
- Keys to use: On the "Dropdown" menu, select Right side or Left side.
- Use primary keys:
- For Mouse keys on the built-in keyboard: Turn on Use primary keys.
- For Mouse keys on the numeric keypad: The numeric keypad is always turned on. Turn off Use primary keys only if you want to turn off the built-in keyboard for Mouse keys.
