Google Chrome update error 0X80040154 doesn't go away

Question

Hello, everyone! I tried all possible solutions I found on web to eliminate 0X80040154 problem which prevents automatic updates on my Chrome browser. However, none of them works. Each clean install of the browser resolves a problem for some short period of time and then again I see this error. I literally tried all solutions I found several times. I still get this error.
Maybe I could do some more registry tweaks? Or do anything else? Where to dig?

Do a hard reset of your Google Chrome web browser.
 
Follow the steps here below to uninstall Google Chrome:
1. Go to your software list, and uninstall Google Chrome from the list
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/uninstall-change-program#uninstall-change-program=windows-7
2. Go to this location:
C:\Users\YOUNAME\AppData\Local\Google\
C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\
3. And delete that "Chrome" folder (for both location, if there is a Chrome folder)
4. Restart your computer
5. Install Google Chrome from google.com/chrome
