Steps to download tags or send a request for publisher approval

Placement tags allow Campaign Manager 360 to serve ads to your publisher's site. Once your placements have active ads and creatives, you are ready to send them to your publisher.

Click Tags > Download tags or Tags > Send tags on the upper right. Then select placements and follow the workflow to download or send tags. (For more information on placement tags, see the placement tags guide.)

Here's how to choose whether to download or send tags:

  • Download tags is the workflow to download agency-paid tags, plus publisher-paid tags that the publisher has already approved (through the "Send tags" workflow).

  • Send tags is the workflow to (a) request approval from the publisher for your publisher-paid tags and (b) send agency-paid tags to publishers via email attachments from Campaign Manager 360.

Steps to download or send tags

Send tags to The Trade Desk

After you create your campaign, placements, and select your VAST version, you can now send tags to The Trade Desk. The integration supports all tag types, which include display and video.

  1. In the “Campaign” page, tick the checkbox next to the tags that you want to send.
  2. On the upper right corner, click the Tags drop down, then select Send Tags to The Trade Desk.
  3. In the slider panel, tick the checkbox next to The Trade Desk advertisers that you want to send the tags to.
  4. Click Send.
Note: Archived placements aren’t supported.

Send VAST tags directly to The Trade Desk via Campaign Manager 360

  1. Link CM360 Advertiser to The Trade Desk: Users can link CM360 advertiser to a TTD advertiser via "The Trade Desk association" under Floodlight configuration.
  2. Set Up Campaign and Placement: From within the “TTD Associations” placement settings, select your desired VAST version. The default version will be VAST 4.0 for video placements, and VAST 2.0 for audio.
  3. Initiate Direct VAST Sync with TTD: After creating a Campaign Manager 360 campaign and placements, users select Send tags to The Trade Desk from the “Tags” dropdown in Campaign Explorer.
  4. Send Tags Workflow: Users select placements to send to TTD, with eligibility for any tag type except archived placements. Any errors will be displayed in your Campaign Explorer view through a red error banner.
  5. Placement Settings Updates: Successfully sent tags are visible under Placement settings, with an optional “Last sent to The Trade Desk” column in your Campaign Explorer view.
