The Campaign Manager 360 and The Trade Desk integration allows you to link your Campaign Manager 360 account with your Trade Desk account and automatically sync your Campaign Manager 360 ad tags to The Trade Desk. This article explains how the integration works and how you can use it to help create effective and efficient campaigns.
Benefits
- Save time: With seamless and automatic ad tag syncing, you don’t have to manually download and upload tags to The Trade Desk.
- Streamline campaign setup: The integration helps minimize errors when you create your campaigns, allowing your campaigns to be more effective and efficient.
- Sync with ease: You can link to multiple The Trade Desk advertisers from one Campaign Manager 360 advertiser. When placements sync, tags are sent to all linked The Trade Desk advertisers.

Send VAST tags directly to The Trade Desk via Campaign Manager 360
- Link CM360 Advertiser to The Trade Desk: Users can link CM360 advertiser to a TTD advertiser via "The Trade Desk association" under Floodlight configuration.
- Set Up Campaign and Placement: From within the “TTD Associations” placement settings, select your desired VAST version. The default version will be VAST 4.0 for video placements, and VAST 2.0 for audio.
- Initiate Direct VAST Sync with TTD: After creating a Campaign Manager 360 campaign and placements, users select Send tags to The Trade Desk from the “Tags” dropdown in Campaign Explorer.
- Send Tags Workflow: Users select placements to send to TTD, with eligibility for any tag type except archived placements. Any errors will be displayed in your Campaign Explorer view through a red error banner.
- Placement Settings Updates: Successfully sent tags are visible under Placement settings, with an optional “Last sent to The Trade Desk” column in your Campaign Explorer view.
Limitations
- If you edit a Placement whose tag was sent to The Trade Desk, any edits will then be reflected in the same tag.
- If you applied an edit that changes the tag itself, you must resend the tags. This also applies to VAST URL-changing settings such as those in “Tag defaults”.
- Placements created before establishing the Campaign Manager 360 and The Trade Desk integration won’t sync to The Trade Desk, even if The Trade Desk is the specified ad server.
