The following alerts are provided at the advertiser level:
- Floodlight activity tag format: This alert will notify you if any Floodlight activities are using legacy tag formats such as iframe and image. We recommend updating to the global site tag (gtag) format for improved click through conversion attribution capabilities and compatibility with future industry standards. Learn how to Use the Google tag for Floodlight activities.
- Enhanced attribution: This alert will notify you if your Floodlight configuration doesn't have enhanced attribution enabled. When enabled, enhanced attribution enhances measurement accuracy by appending a DoubleClick Identifier (DCLID) to all landing page URLs. This signal is used to strengthen click through conversion attribution using the Google tag or Google Tag Manager for attribution. These tagging solutions make it possible to gather a click ID such as DCLID and GCLID and use it for more accurate attribution. Learn more about Enhanced attribution.
- Tracking tag misuse: This alert will notify you when the volume of your clicks are significantly higher than the volume of impressions for a period of time, indicating that your click and impression tracking tags are potentially mixed up. Mixing up click and impression tags can lead to inaccurate performance metrics, costly billing discrepancies, and increased support effort for processing refunds. Learn more about setting up an impression pixel and click tracker.
- Enhanced conversions: This alert will notify you about the status of your Floodlight activities when enhanced conversions is enabled. To allow Floodlight activities to capture hashed personally identifiable information (PII) when users convert, enhanced conversions must first be enabled at the Floodlight configuration level, and then at each individual Floodlight activity level. The hashed PII is then compared against Google signed-in user data for more accurate attribution. If you use both Campaign Manager 360 and Search Ads 360, you’ll notice that this alert is relevant to you because this alert is also shown in the Diagnostics page of Search Ads 360.
- Review placements with high default ad serving: This alert will notify you if your reporting data indicates that a placement is serving its default ad at above a 10% threshold in the last 24 hours. A high default ad serving ratio suggests that the intended creatives aren’t delivering as expected. Potential causes for this issue include incorrect start or end dates for the placement, traffic that doesn’t meet the specified targeting criteria, active frequency capping limits, or the incorrect tag type being used for the placement. Learn more about why your default ad serves too often.
