Your Cameyo environment determines how you install your server. Cameyo supports two operational environments:
- Bring-your-Own (BYO)
- Self-hosted
BYO cloud environment
Google is responsible for the deployment, scaling (up and down) of virtual machines (VMs) and other resources within your cloud environment (BYO). Before you begin, grant access to your Google Cloud Platform (BYO-GCP) or your Microsoft Azure cloud subscription (BYO-Azure), follow the steps in:
To create a Cameyo server on your existing cloud subscription, follow these steps:
- On the Cameyo Admin console, select Dashboard
.
- Click Servers
.
- Click +Add.
- For Cloud Server, select your preferred Cloud Region.
- For Capacity, select your required Cloud server level. For more details, see Set the capacity for your Cloud server.
If GPU is required for graphic intensive applications, check the GPU box.
- Click Create Now.
- Once the server is active, a status icon
next to the server turns green.
Self-hosted environment
Deploy the Cameyo agent on this infrastructure to connect your selected VMs with the Cameyo portal, so that virtual apps can be delivered.
To create a self-hosted server, where you manage your own cloud or on-premises infrastructure, follow these steps:
- On the Cameyo Admin console, select Dashboard
.
- Click Servers
.
- Click +Add.
- For Self-hosted, click Get started.
Follow the steps in Set up a self-hosted server.
- Once the server is active, a status icon
next to the server turns green.
