Integrate with Google Workspace

Cameyo integrates with Google Workspace and Google functions at different levels.

Authentication

You can configure users to authenticate using their Google credentials, through Google Open Authorization (OAuth) 2 Single Sign-On (SSO).

To activate this authentication method:

  1. Go to online.cameyo.com/company.
  2. On the sign-in page, click Sign in with Google.
  3. Select the relevant permissions.

Notes:

  • If you own a Cameyo subdomain (mycompany.cameyo.com) and you configure sign-in to be done through Google authentication, then your users will be directly taken to the Google authentication screen when they reach your Cameyo subdomain, or they will be directly signed in, if already authenticated previously.
  • Cameyo integrates directly with Google Workspace security settings. If your organization's Google Workspace account requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) for signing in, then any users accessing Cameyo through their Google authentication will also need to complete those same MFA steps.
  • When users sign in to Cameyo using their Google account, they can be prompted for additional permissions. This prompt appears if you, as an admin, have configured Cameyo to request more than basic sign-in information from Google. If you change these permission settings later, users will be prompted for new permissions the next time they try to connect to Cameyo.

Google Drive

Cameyo integrates directly with Google Drive. When enabled, users can find their Google Drive files within Cameyo sessions and can either view or edit these files. They can use a custom file dialog—if turned on in File settings—or as a path within Explorer.

To enable Google Drive integration:

  1. Go to online.cameyo.com/company.
  2. On the sign-in page, click Sign in with Google.
  3. Check the Connect user's storage (Google Drive) box.

Google Workspace directory

You can configure app permissions based on Google Workspace directory groups:

  1. Go to the URL for the app.
  2. Select Restrictions (if no permissions are defined yet, click None). A dialog window displays with your Workspace user groups.
  3. Select the user groups that need access.
  4. Click Submit.
