If you don’t use Google Calendar and a Calendar user invites you to an event, you can get one or more invitation emails. These emails make sure your calendar shows the correct information for the event.
Filter notifications
While required for event sync, the emails can clutter your inbox. To make it easier to manage your inbox:
- In your email provider, create a filter or rule for emails that include "[email protected]" in the message header.
- Choose where you want the emails to go, like your archive or trash.
- Save the filter or rule.
- Only one email for each invitation or update should show in your inbox.
Tips:
- If you use Microsoft Outlook:
- If your calendar service is managed by an administrator, they can set up filters for you. Learn how organizations can filter Calendar email invitations.
- Invitation emails show the correct information for recurring events for up to 30 days in the past.
