After October 14, 2025, you can no longer use the product reader to submit product data to Google. Any Google product readers in your stores will stop submitting product data.
What to do next
To provide product data after that date, you can use one of these options:

- Product editor: Learn more about product editor.
- Merchant Center: Learn how to upload your products to Merchant Center.
Your brands and product categories may still continue to show across Google, even if you don't add info about specific product offerings.
Recycle & return your product reader
Important: This isn’t a trade-in program. You won’t receive money back or credit toward the purchase of a new product if you use this program. After you ship your product, it can’t be returned.
If you no longer use the product reader, you can recycle it.
If you’re a retailer in the US, Canada, Ireland, or the UK, you can use our recycling program:

- Recycle your product reader in the UK
Tip: If you can’t use the recycling service, dispose of your product reader in an environmentally responsible way.
