Manage your Business Profile description

Your Business Profile description helps potential customers learn more about your business, such as what you do and what makes your business unique.

You can create your own business description or use AI to suggest a new description based on info from your Business Profile and other sources, such as your website. You can also review and edit the AI-powered description.

Add or edit your business description

1. Go to your Business Profile.
2. Click Edit profile.
3. Next to 'Description', click Edit .
4. Enter your business description.
5. Click Save.

Tip: Changes to your profile usually take about 10 minutes to show up. In some cases, it can take up to 30 days. Understand what happens to your Business Profile edits.

Create an AI-powered business description

Important:

• This AI feature writes creative text. You should review it for accuracy and update as needed.
• AI-powered business descriptions are currently available for select regions and languages and may not be available for all users. To use this feature, you must be 18 years of age or older and comply with the Google Generative AI Prohibited Use Policy.

1. Go to your Business Profile.
2. Click Edit profile.
3. Next to 'Description', click Edit .
4. To generate an AI-powered description, you can either:
   • Click Suggest description.
   • Enter a description click Suggest description.

5. An AI-powered business description shows.
   • To get a different result, click Try again.
   • To use the current result, click Use.
6. If needed, edit the description.
7. Click Save.

Improve your AI-powered business description

• Ensure that your Business Profile is up to date: This feature uses info from your Business Profile to suggest a description of your business. Update your Business Profile for better suggestions.
• Add more details about your business: You can add details about your business to the description field. The AI uses this info when it generates a suggestion. For example, you can write your own description and use this tool to offer suggestions to improve it.
• Review for accuracy: This tool can help you save time and write a description for you, but you should review it for accuracy.

Give feedback on AI-powered description suggestions

Let us know if you get a suggestion that you like or one that's inaccurate. Your feedback helps us improve this feature.

You can give feedback, below the generated text in the 'Suggested description' box:

• For a good suggestion, click Thumbs up .
• For a poor suggestion or to report an issue, click Thumbs down .
  1. On the banner that opens, click Report an issue.
  2. From the drop-down, select Edit business information.
  3. To tell us what happened, enter your feedback in the 'Describe your issue' box.
     1. To include a screenshot with your feedback, click Capture screenshot Allow.
     2. To remove the screenshot, at the top right of the image, click Delete .
  4. Click Send.
