Your brand profile description provides potential customers with a concise overview of your business. You can customize this description to ensure it accurately reflects your brand and attracts the right audience.
- Super admin access: Only super admins can manage the brand’s description. Learn how to manage super admin access.
- Update time: Changes to your description may take up to 10 minutes to appear on your brand profile.
Customize your brand description
Important: To find your brand profile, you must sign in to the Google Account associated with it.
- Go to Google Search.
- Search for your exact business name.
- In the search result, your brand profile shows up.
- Select Description
.
- In the pop-up window, you can choose:
- From the web (default):
- To generate your description, Google uses meta tags, Wikipedia, or info from your website.
- This description may change periodically as the source information is updated.
- AI-generated:
- Your website and other data sources provide data that Google AI uses to generate descriptions.
- These descriptions are automatically generated and updated periodically.
- Businesses can’t directly edit or control the content of AI-generated descriptions.
- Your description will be tagged as "AI-generated" on Google platforms.
- Write a description:
- Create your own brand profile description manually or use an AI-generated suggested draft from multiple data sources like your website that you can edit.
- Before publication, Google reviews your description to make sure it complies with policy requirements.
- Descriptions can be a maximum of 500 characters and will be tagged as “from the business” on Google platforms.
- You're responsible for the content of the description even if you use an AI-generated draft.
- From the web (default):
- Select Save.
