Stay connected and safe with new Android features

Announcement
Hi Android community,

Today, we are excited to share new features that can help you find peace of mind — receive alerts for suspicious conversations in Google Messages, easily find friends and family with live location sharing, and play more games while parked. See what’s new:

Here’s what’s new:

  • Take one-tap actions on numbers, emails, and URLs with Circle to Search action chips. Simply tap the chip to start a call, draft an email, or open a link on your screen. [1]
  • Level up in your downtime with more gaming apps available on Android Auto. Park your car and dive into games like Farm Heroes Saga, Candy Crush Soda Saga, and more. [2]
  • Feel confident you're buying at the right time to get a better deal with new shopping insights in Chrome. Check price history, set up discount notifications, and compare prices across websites — all in one place. [3]
  • Protect yourself from fraud with Scam Detection in Google Messages. Receive alerts on text patterns commonly associated with scams, so you can shut down a suspected scammer, fast. [4]
  • Friends and family finding in Find My Device lets you share live locations with friends and family on a map view. Easily coordinate a meetup with a friend or make sure a family member  got home safe. [5]
  • Help children navigate the digital world with new tools in Family Link. Parents can remotely manage app usage and screen time to remove distractions and promote healthier tech habits. [6]
  • Continue watching across devices on Google TV. Find the new ‘Continue watching’ row to pick up where you left off, so you can start a movie on your TV and finish it on your phone. [7]
  • Coming soon, elevate your Gemini Live conversations by providing some helpful context. Add images, files, and YouTube videos in Gemini Live at the beginning of a chat and ask questions about it. [8]
