The text cursor is the vertical line you find as you type. You can use this setting to adjust how fast the cursor flashes or turn off the blink completely. This gives you more control over your visual experience.

Important:
- The text cursor blink rate setting controls the cursor in native Android text fields, like search bars, notes, and password fields.
- A customized blink rate might not be supported in some apps, games, or web browsers. This means the cursor may continue to blink at its default speed.

- To set the cursor speed, adjust the slider. The setting uses a slider control to provide granular control over the blinking speed:
- Slide all the way to the left: The cursor stops blinking completely. You can use this to eliminate any visual distraction or triggers.
- Slide toward the left: The cursor blinks slower than the default speed. This reduces visual distraction while keeping the cursor active.
- Default position: The cursor blinks at the standard rate, typically 500 milliseconds.
- Slide toward the right: The cursor blinks quicker than the default speed. This may help you find your cursor easily and maintain focus.
Tips:
- If there’s no Developer options setting, you must turn it on. Learn how to enable Developer options.
- If you want to revert to the original cursor blinking rate, at the bottom of the slider control, tap Reset.
