Find your Health Connect data

In Health Connect, you have full control over the health, fitness, and medical data on your Android device. You can review all stored data and check which apps can read or write data.

Learn which apps read & write permission

  1. On your device, open Health Connect .
  2. Under “Permissions and data,” tap App permissions.
    • Under "App permissions,” you’ll find apps that have permission and don't have permission to read and write data.
    • At the top right, beside “App permissions,” tap Find to search for specific apps and know if it has permission or not.

Tip: You can also see if an app has permission to read and write data if you tap on a specific app.

Learn which apps have recently read & written data

  1. On your device, open Health Connect .
  2. Under “Recent Access,” tap See all recent access.
    • You’ll find a list of apps that have accessed or stored your data in the past 24 hours.

Find inactive apps

  1. On your device, open Health Connect .
  2. Under “Permissions and data,” tap App permissions.
  3. Under “Inactive apps,” you’ll find the list of inactive apps.

Apps might be inactive because:

  • The app is uninstalled but still has data stored in Health Connect.
  • The app has been removed from the Play Store.
  • The app has been denied access to Health Connect.

Tip: These apps might still have a copy of your data if the app had downloaded it before its access was removed. You should be able to view and control this data through the settings in each app.

Browse data by category

  1. On your device, open Health Connect .
  2. Under “Permissions and data,” tap Data and access.
  3. Under “Browse data,” tap on a data category, like Activity or Sleep.

Tip:To check all the data categories Health Connect supports, tap See all categories.

Find data type access

  1. On your device, open Health Connect .
  2. Under “Permissions and data,” tap Data and access.
  3. Under “Browse data,” tap a data category, like Activity or Sleep.
  4. Tap on a data type, like Distance or Steps.
    • Find which apps can read or write this data type.
    • Find which apps no longer have permission to read and write data.

Browse all data type entries

  1. On your device, open Health Connect .
  2. Under “Permissions and data,” tap Data and access.
  3. Under “Browse data,” tap a data category, like Activity or Sleep.
  4. Tap on a data type, like Distance or Steps.
  5. Under “Manage Data,” tap See all entries.
    • To delete an entry, next to it, tap Trash .
    • To find a calendar view of all entries, at the top, tap the date.

Browse health records

In the settings, you can find your health records and which apps have access to them:

  1. On your device, open Health Connect .
  2. Under “Permissions and data,” tap Browse health records.
