Connect your computer to Android XR with PC Connect

On your Android XR device, you can access your entire desktop through PC Connect. Within your immersive headset environment, you can work, browse, or enjoy content from your PC.

Important: PC Connect is currently in beta. This feature is only supported on Windows 10 and up.

What you need

• A compatible computer
• An Android XR device
• A stable Wi-Fi network connection for both devices
  • Your computer and Android XR device should be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

Set up PC Connect on your Android XR device and computer

Download the app on your Android XR device:

1. On your Android XR device, go to the app launcher.
   • If you aren’t sure how to open the app launcher, learn how to navigate on your Android XR device.
2. Open Google Play .
3. Search for PC Connect .
4. Select Install.

Download the app on your PC:

1. On your computer, open a web browser.
2. In the search bar, enter: https://goo.gle/get-pc-connect
3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

After you download:

1. On your Android XR device, go to the app launcher.
2. Select PC Connect .
3. Select the computer you want to connect to.
4. To pair your device for the first time:
   1. On your headset, select Scan and point it at the QR code on your computer screen.
      • If you’re unable to scan the QR code, ensure the PIN matches on both your headset and computer.
   2. Select Confirm or Accept on both devices.
5. After the device is connected, your stream begins automatically.

Reconnect your computer to your Android XR device

1. On your Android XR device, go to the app launcher.
2. Select PC Connect .
3. From the list of computers, select your computer.

Switch between connected computers

If you have multiple computers set up with PC Connect, you can easily switch between them.

1. On your Android XR device, on an active streaming session, select Go back. 
   • If you aren’t sure how to open the app launcher, learn how to navigate on your Android XR device.
2. Select the computer you want to connect to.
3. To pair your device for the first time:
   1. On your headset, select Scan and point it at the QR code on your computer screen.
      • If you’re unable to scan the QR code, ensure the PIN matches on both your headset and computer.
   2. Select Confirm or Accept on both devices.
4. After the device is connected, your stream begins automatically.

Send feedback about PC Connect

Your feedback helps improve PC Connect. Send feedback at various points throughout your experience.

To send your feedback:

Before streaming with PC Connect:

1. On your Android XR device, open PC Connect.
2. Select Send Feedback.
3. In the textbox, enter your feedback.
   • You can also capture a screenshot for your feedback:
     1. Select Capture screenshot.
     2. Take a screenshot.
     3. Enter information about your screenshot. If you want to modify your screenshot:
        • Hide: This removes any information you want to hide in your screenshot.
        • Highlight: This emphasizes details on your screenshot.
4. Select Send.

During streaming with PC Connect:

1. On your Android XR device, on the right of your screen, select More  Help .
2. In the textbox, enter your feedback.
3. Select Send.
