Create & Manage your Likeness

You can represent yourself and interact with others while you wear your headset with Likeness. When you join video calls, you can let attendees view your Likeness, a photo-realistic representation of yourself, created based on a scan of your face. Your Likeness mirrors your expressions, mouth, and head movements which let you interact face-to-face even with a headset.

Make sure your data is safe

Your Likeness is always associated with your Google Account. Likenesses created on your mobile device are temporarily backed up to Google Cloud, to be synced to the headset and your associated Google Account.

When successfully synced and downloaded to your headset, the Likeness will be deleted from the Google systems. If a Likeness isn’t downloaded to your headset within a day of creation, it will be automatically deleted from the Google system. When you delete a Likeness, all data will be deleted and the Likeness will be removed from all synced devices.

To further secure your data, set up your Likeness (beta) app lock screen on your Android XR device before you use it. Any created Likenesses can be used by anyone that has access to your account and device.

If you no longer wish to have a headset associated with your Google Account, you can sign out of the device on your My devices. This makes all Likenesses associated with your Google Account inaccessible.
