Use Google Play with your XR headset

You can download apps, games, and content from Google Play with your XR headset.

You can also download apps and content for your XR headset with your phone or computer. Learn how to use your phone or computer to install apps and content on other devices.

Important: Currently, you can purchase the Google XR headset only in these locations:

Get apps & digital content on your XR headset

To wake up your device and view Google apps, on your XR headset, press the Power button.
Open the Google Play app .
- Tip: If the Google Play app is not on your Home screen, you can:
  - Open the Menu of Services select the Google Play app , or
  - Open the Search bar search for “Google Play” select the Google Play app .
Find an app:
- To search for a new app, select the Search bar .
- To speak your search query, select Speak .
- To enter your search, select Keyboard .
- To browse for an app, scroll to find top app categories (ex. Games, Entertainment) select a category.
Select an item Install (for no charge items) or the item's price.

Tips:

To learn more about what Google Play has to offer on the XR device, at the top of the Google Play app, select the Get to know your new XR device banner.
Apps with the “Made for XR” badge are designed for an optimized XR experience.

You can find XR-specific ratings and reviews for an app from any signed-in device.
