[GA4] Generated insights

In addition to the insights presented on the Google Analytics home page, Google Analytics also surfaces generated insights in your detail reports. The generated insights help you make faster, more informed decisions by summarizing trends and significant changes in your data in plain language.

These generated insights are now located at the top of the detail report you are checking and will also include a call to action button that will modify the report based on the insight given.

Example: Imagine your purchase events spiked on a series of individual dates. Google's AI works through countless combinations of dimensions and metrics to proactively connect the dots, explaining why these spikes happened. These insights are written in a natural, easy-to-understand way.

Google Analytics 'Events' UI with an insight card highlighting a doubled 'purchase' event spike on April 10th, driven by specific demographics. It includes buttons to 'View key drivers' and 'View Ecommerce purchase reports'.

Provide feedback

If Google Analytics surfaces a generated insight useful to you in a detail report, you can indicate it was helpful. Use the thumbs-up feedback button in the top right of the insight. If Google Analytics surfaces a generated insight that is not relevant, you can provide negative feedback by clicking the thumbs-down button. To dismiss the insight banner entirely, use the close button located in the top right corner of the banner. Based on your feedback, Google Analytics can better curate generated insights for you in the future.
