Build trust, increase transparency and get access to more features by completing advertiser verification. You’ll just need to complete a few tasks, such as answering a few questions about your organisation. After getting verified, some of your info will appear in ad disclosures and the Ads Transparency Center, which provides context about an advertiser and their ads.

To complete this task, follow these steps:
Expand the 'Policy' drop-down under Admin
and select Account.
- Select Start task and follow the provided instruction.
Make sure that the details in the submitted documents exactly match your payments profile info, including the organisation name, if applicable. If there’s a mismatch, you can change your payments profile name during the task.
When submitting a government-issued photo ID, ensure that:
- The ID is valid (not expired)
- The image is in colour, not black and white
- The image is clear and well lit
- The image should not be a photocopy
If your verification fails, common reasons include the document being unverifiable, a name mismatch or using an unsupported document type. Make sure that your documents are supported for your region and account type.

Acceptable documents by location
Registration documents:
- Any document, notice or letter either issued by the IRS or stamped by the IRS that states your Organisation name. Some examples are CP575, 147C, CP299, 988, 937, 1050, 5822 etc.
- Forms submitted to the IRS will only be accepted if a copy of the form is available on the IRS website. Some examples are Forms 8871 and 990. See here (political organisations) and here (tax exempt organisations) for ways to search for your organisation on the IRS website.
- Certificate of Business Incorporation issued by the state where you conduct business activities that states your Organisation name
- Your most recent SEC filing (e.g. 10-K, 10-Q or 8-K forms) that state the Organisation name
- Business credit reports that state your Organisation name from Experian, Equifax or TransUnion
- Only for government departments and agencies: an official letter including full name, address and date
Authorised representative’s government-issued photo ID:
- Passport
- State identification
- Driving licence
- Permanent resident card or Green card
An authorised representative is an admin of the Google Ads account and/or the payments profile paying for the ads. The government-issued photo ID can be issued in any country.
Individuals must submit a US government-issued photo ID as part of the verification programme. Acceptable documents include:
- Passport
- State identification
- Driving licence
- Permanent resident card or Green card
