Wondering when your first AdSense payment will arrive? This guide explains the steps to getting paid.
When you'll get your first payment
Complete these steps to get your account set for your first AdSense payment.
1. Earning minimum
First, your ad earnings need to reach $10 (or local equivalent). To generate ad revenue, place the AdSense ad code on every page where you want to show ads. Learn more about how to set up ads on your site.
Add your tax information
Depending on your location, we may be required to collect tax-related information. For more information, check out how to submit your tax information to Google.
2. Identity verification
When your earnings reach the verification threshold, you're required to confirm your personal information. Make sure your payment name and address are correct, as we use this information to verify your identity and send you a Personal Identification Number (PIN). If you need to correct any information, read change your payment name or address.
Verify your identity
To continue to show ads and receive payments from AdSense, you need to verify your identity. This is to confirm the accuracy of your account information and protect you from fraud. You have 45 days from the date we first ask you to verify your identity to submit the required documents in your account.
Verify your address
After you've verified your identity, we mail a PIN to the payment address in your AdSense account. You must enter this PIN into your AdSense account before we can issue any payments. Your PIN will be sent by standard post and may take up to 2-3 weeks to arrive. You have 4 months from the date your PIN is generated to complete your address verification.
For more information about PINs, refer to the Address (PIN) verification overview.
3. Bank details
When your earnings reach the payment method selection threshold, you can select your form of payment. Depending on your payment address, there may be several forms of payment available to you, including Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), wire transfer, etc.

4. Payment minimum
If your current balance reaches the payment threshold by the end of the month, and there are no other payment holds, you'll be issued a payment between the 21st and the 26th of the month. After the processing period ends, we'll issue you a payment.

If your current balance hasn’t yet reached the payment threshold, your finalized earnings will roll over to the next month and your balance will accrue until the threshold is met.
Example
Let's say the payment threshold for your account is $100. If your current balance reached $100 during January and you've completed all the steps above, then we would issue you a payment at the end of February.
5. Payment sent
Your payment is being processed and will be in your account soon.
