To help protect your account and data, you may occasionally need to verify that it’s you when you complete sensitive actions in Ad Manager, AdMob or AdSense. This extra confirmation helps Google verify that the account wasn't created or used by computer programs or bots for the purpose of abuse, like spamming. Sensitive actions in Ad Manager, AdMob and AdSense typically relate to managing accounts or sites and apps, for example, reactivating a deactivated account.
Tip: To prove that it's you, make sure that you have a mobile device. It needs to be registered to your account for at least seven days. You can use:
- A device linked with the recovery phone number of your Google Account.
- A device that's signed in to your Google Account.
- A linked government IDs for verification. Learn how to link government IDs.
Unlock your access
- Make sure to turn off any pop-up blockers on your browser.
- Not all verification options are available for all accounts, devices and regions.
When you try to take a sensitive action, a pop-up appears asking you to verify your info:
- Click Continue.
- Follow the instructions on your screen.
Unlocking your access may take a few seconds. When the loading page closes, or the loading bar stops, your access is unlocked. If you’re not automatically redirected, you’ll need to return to the action to complete it.
If after successfully completing the verification steps, you’re still having trouble taking the action, wait for a few minutes, and try taking the action again.
