Choose whether to enable consent mode for advertiser and analytics purposes. If enabled, Google’s CMP can interpret your existing EEA, UK and Swiss user consent choices for consent mode’s advertising purposes (including ad storage, personalisation and user data) and analytics storage. Complete the following steps to adjust the legitimate control settings for your European regulations messages:
- Sign in to your AdSense account.
- Click Privacy & messaging.
- Click
on the European regulations message type card.
- Adjust the 'Consent mode for advertising purposes' settings as needed.
- Enable consent mode for advertising purposes: Tick the tick box to allow other Google products that you deploy on your sites and apps (such as Google Ads and Google Analytics) to interpret your existing EEA, UK and Swiss user consent signals for advertising purposes, including for ad storage, ad personalisation and ad user data consent signals, to turn on consent mode for advertising purposes.
- Enable consent mode for analytics purposes: Tick the tick box to use your existing message to interpret consent for analytics storage. When enabled, your message will gather consent for the analytics storage purpose from users. Only appears if the 'Enable consent mode for advertising purposes' tick box is selected.
- Click Save. Your consent mode settings will be updated across all sites and apps for which you have configured European regulations messages.
