Locate cheque information
To find your cheque information:
- Sign in to your AdSense account.
- Click Payments, then Payments info, then View transactions.
- On your 'Transactions' page, locate the line item for your cheque and click the 'Automatic payment' link. A payment receipt opens showing the payment number, date and amount.
Missing, expired, cancelled or incorrect cheques
Missing cheques
There are two main reasons why your cheque might not have arrived:
- The cheque went to the wrong address. In this case, you'll need to change the payee information in your AdSense account before you request a new cheque.
- The cheque may have been misplaced by your country's postal service.
Expired, cancelled or incorrect cheques
There are several reasons why you might not be able to deposit your cheque:
- The cheque has expired. Depending on your country, AdSense cheques are valid for six to 12 months from their date of issue. If you do not deposit your cheque within this time frame, then your earnings will be credited back to your account and your payments will be put on hold. Learn what to do for payments on hold for an expired cheque.
- The cheque is cancelled. Balances for any cancelled old cheques are returned to your account and paid out with your next payment (as long as you have no holds on your account and you've met the payment threshold).
- The cheque is incorrect. In this case, you might need to amend the payee information in your AdSense account.
Request a replacement cheque
To request a re-issue of your cheque from your AdSense account:
- Sign in to your AdSense account.
- Click Payments, then Payments info, then View transactions.
- On your 'Transactions' page, find the issue date and current status of your cheque. If your cheque still hasn't been cashed after 60 days, you'll have a 'Re-issue payment' link next to the cheque's status.
- Click Re-issue payment and confirm that you want to re-issue the payment. A new line item appears showing that the cheque has been stopped and that your reissue is in progress.
When to contact your bank
If the 'Re-issue payment' link doesn't appear in your account after 60 days, your cheque may have been deposited and unable to be re-issued. Review your bank records for the payment or contact your bank directly to investigate the issue.
Because policies vary between banks, we're not able to determine if a specific bank is able to accept your AdSense cheques. All payment cheques are issued by Citibank. If you receive cheques in US dollars, enquire at your bank regarding whether they have a correspondent relationship with Citibank. This relationship is required to process our US dollar cheques.
Additionally, be aware that different banks often take different amounts of time to clear checks. We suggest contacting your bank directly for more information.
