Who can manage users?
You must have the administrator user role to add users, remove users, or change users’ roles.
Why can’t I add this user?
- The user is already linked to another active AdMob account.
- The user is the alternate username of an existing AdMob login. This login might be associated with the AdMob account in question, or another AdMob account or application.
- The user’s G Suite account doesn’t have AdMob enabled. Contact your G Suite administrator to turn on AdMob. Learn more about managing access to Google services.
Is there a limit to the number of administrators or managers I can add to my account?
No. There's no limit to the number of administrators or managers you can add, but you can't merge or combine your account with another AdMob account.
I received an invite, but I want to use a different Google Account login than the one where I received the email.
Contact the administrator who sent the invite and ask them to send a new invite to the address you want to use instead.
I don’t want to add another user, but I want to change my login.
There are two ways you can do this:
- Edit your Google Account
You can change your email address/login by editing the Google Account you use to access AdMob. This is only available for non-Gmail addresses and affects all of the products that are linked to your Google Account. - Associate a different Google Account as your login
If you have administrator permissions, you can invite a new administrator, log in as the new administrator and then remove your original Google Account login.
Who gets notified when something changes?
Administrators and the affected user are sent email notifications whenever a user is added, removed or has their user role changed.
What does the status "Pending invite" mean?
"Pending invite" means that the user hasn’t accepted their invitation by clicking the link in the email yet. Users have 20 days to accept an invitation before it expires.
I’ve been removed from my account. What should I do?
Contact the account administrator directly. Note that Google AdMob is unable to mediate access disputes between users.
How do I know which user role l I have?
As an administrator, you can view a list of users and their user roles.
I can’t access my account. What should I do?
Use our Can't sign into my account troubleshooter to help us understand what's keeping you out of your account, and how we can best help you get back in.
How do I view a list of users in my account?
If you have administrator permissions, you can view a list of users who have access to your account:
- Sign in to your AdMob account at https://admob.google.com.
- Click Settings in the sidebar.
- Click the Users tab.
- On the users page, you have the list of users.
If I have both AdSense and AdMob, where should I manage my users?
If your AdMob and AdSense accounts are linked, you can make the changes in either account and the change will apply to both your AdMob and AdSense account.
The same level of access to AdSense will be granted to the user you’re adding to AdMob. For example, if you add a user to your AdMob account as an administrator, they will also be an administrator in AdSense.
Also note that the manager role is the same as standard user access in AdSense.
I have both AdSense and AdMob. How can I tell if my accounts are linked?
If your Publisher ID is the same for AdSense and AdMob, then it means that your accounts are linked. Learn how to find your Publisher ID for AdSense or AdMob.
Where can I learn more about user management in AdSense?
Refer to the AdSense user management Help Center articles.
How does AdMob user roles affect AdSense user roles?
If you also use the AdSense account that’s associated with this AdMob account, you’ll find the users you’ve added to your AdMob account listed in your AdSense user management page.
If you assign the Administrator or Manager role in AdMob, the same level of access to AdSense will be granted to the user you’re adding to AdMob. For example, if you add a user to your AdMob account as an Administrator, they will also be an Administrator in AdSense. Also note that the Manager role is the same as standard user access in AdSense.
The following table details how the AdMob user roles correspond to the AdSense user roles.
AdMob user role | Corresponding AdSense user role |
Administrator | Administrator |
Manager | Standard |
Custom user role | AdMob-only (This user can’t access your AdSense account) |
