You can add the Inventory format dimension to identify the format of the ad unit where the ad was requested. In-stream requests for ads serving into content within a video player are identified as in-stream video and/or audio. Non-in-stream requests are further broken out into the different types of inventory formats.
To report on only the inventory that is eligible to serve non-in-stream video:
- Create a new Historical report.

For reservations, add the Request type, Inventory format, and Creative technology dimensions.
For non-reservations, add the Video placements, Inventory format, and Creative technology dimensions.
The Creative technology dimension allows you to see the breakdown between display and video. Video is represented where "Video" is displayed as the creative technology. -
Add any additional dimensions and metrics. All Video viewership metrics are available.
- Click Run.
To report on the video creatives that served:
- Create a new Historical report.

Under "Filters", select:
- Ad type, then is any of, then Video
- Ad Exchange product, then is any of, then Display (for display inventory) or Mobile in-app (for app inventory)
- Add any additional dimensions and metrics.
- Click Run.
Where available, you can use the Active View Average Viewable Time metric to determine performance. Ad slots that report greater than 10 seconds of average viewable time are recommended for non-in-stream slots.*
* This metric is not available if you place the ad slot in a cross-domain iframe.
