Manage your email addresses

These email addresses are from your "About me" page. You can control who these email addresses display to across Google products like Drive or Photos.

1. 1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Gmail app .
   2. At the top right, tap your profile picture or initial Manage your Google Account. If you don't use Gmail, go to myaccount.google.com.
2. At the top, tap Personal info.
3. Under "Choose what others see," tap Go to About me.
4. Next to "Personal contact info" or "Work contact info," select Edit .
   • If you don't see the relevant section, at the bottom right, select Add info .
5. Under "Email," add, edit, or remove your email address.
6. Select OK.

Manage who can view your email

You can add a non-Gmail email address to your account and use it to sign in, recover your password, and more.

1. 1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Gmail app .
   2. At the top right, tap your profile picture or initial Manage your Google Account. If you don't use Gmail, go to myaccount.google.com.
2. At the top, tap Personal info.
3. Under "Contact info," tap Email.
4. Under "Alternate emails," select Add alternate email or Add other email.
5. Enter an email address you own and select Add.

Add alternate email

Add a recovery email address to get back into your account quickly and securely if you forget your password or get locked out.

1. 1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Gmail app .
   2. At the top right, tap your profile picture or initial Manage your Google Account. If you don't use Gmail, go to myaccount.google.com.
2. At the top, tap Personal info.
3. Under "Contact info," tap Email.
4. Tap Add recovery email.
5. Follow the onscreen instructions.

Add recovery email

Google notifies you at your contact email address when there is important information that you need to know about your Google Account or the products you use, such as YouTube. By default, Google uses your Google Account email for contacting you unless you add a contact email.

This email address can be from any email provider, but it should be one you check frequently.

1. 1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Gmail app .
   2. At the top right, tap your profile picture or initial Manage your Google Account. If you don't use Gmail, go to myaccount.google.com.
2. At the top, tap Personal info.
3. Under "Contact info," tap Email.
4. Tap Contact email.
5. Add your contact email address.
6. Check your inbox for your verification email and open it.
7. Click Verify contact email.

Important: Some Google products still use your Google Account email even if you add a contact email.
