If you have Google Workspace for Education Plus, you already have advanced features and do not need the Teaching and Learning add-on. 

You can add the Teaching and Learning add-on to Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals or Education Standard to transform learning with enhanced capabilities in Google Meet, Classroom, and more. It works seamlessly with the other productivity tools in Google Workspace for Education, such as Gmail, Google Docs, and Calendar.

You must have the Education Fundamentals edition to add the Teaching and Learning add-on.

Get the add-on

You can purchase the Teaching and Learning add-on in the Google Admin console on a monthly, flexible billing model or through your reseller. There is no minimum purchase requirement for the add-on.

Get a trial

You can get a 60–day trial of 50 licenses for the Teaching and Learning add-on.

  • If you work with a reseller, contact an authorized Google Workspace partner to set up a trial.
  • If your Google Workspace account isn’t managed by a reseller, you can set up a trial in the Admin console with these steps.

Start a trial in your Admin console:

  1. Sign in with an administrator account to the Google Admin console.

    If you aren’t using an administrator account, you can’t access the Admin console.

  2. Click Google Workspace for Education.
  3. For Teaching and Learning Upgrade, click Start Free Trialand thenGet Started.
  4. Select Trial plan.
  5. Click Checkoutand thenPlace Order.

Your trial starts immediately and you can assign licenses to users. For details, go to Provisioning Google Workspace for Education Licenses.
