The Google Meet team recommends using only certified hardware in meeting rooms to ensure quality experiences. This page lists certified devices connected to ChromeOS hardware that work with Meet. To ensure a high-quality experience, all hardware and peripherals are put through comprehensive testing for quality, reliability, and interoperability. This includes verifying their performance and compatibility with evolving ChromeOS updates. Certified hardware and peripherals will get automatic firmware updates for the duration of Meet support. Firmware updates should be verified by Meet. For more details about lists of certified ChromeOS and AOSP devices for Meet hardware, see Google Meet hardware certification program for ChromeOS and AOSP.
If you're a vendor or manufacturer, see Google Meet hardware certification program for more information about the requirements and process.
End of Life and End of Support differences
It's important to distinguish between End of Life (EoL) and End of Support (EoS). EoL is determined solely by the hardware provider, while EoS for Meet, signifies the cessation of Meet's dedicated support and automatic updates. Uncertified devices or devices reaching their Meet EoS dates will be shown as "Unsupported" in the Admin console. These devices should remain functional, requiring no user intervention or recertification. However, Google does not support devices marked as ‘Unsupported’ in the Admin console.
Important: Google cannot guarantee support for issues on devices not listed in this page and here. See how to make a decision on which devices you need here.
Meet certified peripherals and devices
The following devices have been certified and approved for use with Meet hardware on ChromeOS.
Customers using uncertified devices accept that any changes such as firmware or OS updates might cause interruptions. However, customers can still collaborate and contact Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) for certification roadmaps or receive support for the devices reached to End-Of-Support by Google Meet to assure the devices will operate as it is expected.
