Keeping ads safe for users is a top priority for Google, and we take violations of our policies seriously. If you think an ad violates Google’s policies, you can report it. Reporting an ad doesn't block that ad. Learn more about how to block an ad.
When you report an ad, you may be asked to give additional details about why you think that the ad violates our policies. For example, if you think an ad is phishing, you can provide the name of the site that the ad is impersonating.
If you're not signed in to your Google Account when you report an ad, you’ll need to enter your email address.
Report an ad on Google
To report an ad on Google services:
- On the ad, select More
or Info

- If there are multiple ads shown in My Ad Centre, select the ad that you'd like to report.
- Select Report ad

- Select the reason why you’re reporting the ad and fill in the form and any additional information. If the form has any fields that have been pre-filled, don’t edit them.
- Select Submit.

- On the ad, select AdChoices

- Select Why this ad?
- If there are multiple ads shown, select the ad that you'd like to report.
- Select Report ad
- Select the reason why you’re reporting the ad and fill in the form and any additional information. If the form has any fields that have been pre-filled, don’t edit them.
- Select Submit.
About our review process
After you report an ad, you’ll get an email confirming that we’ve received your report. The ad will be reviewed by Google’s Trust & Safety team to check if it violates any of our policies. When we find an ad that breaks our rules or the law, we’ll take action. Egregious or repeat violations can lead to an advertiser’s account being suspended, which means that they can no longer run ads through Google. Learn more about our review process.
